The US Embassy compound in Santo Domingo – Dominican Republic is another high profile project supplied with Portuguese limestone. This project required light beige colored Cabeca Veada limestone for its external wall cladding.

This embassy project involved the supply of 18.000m2 of Cabeca Veada limestone panels with different thicknesses of 50mm, 80mm and 150mm, with both honed surface and split-face rough surface. There were several building in this embassy compound and all were supplied with the same limestone, with the combined surface finishes mentioned. The end result is a fantastic-looking and impressive building, where the light colored limestone fits perfectly into the sunny environment.

The Cabeca Veada has become quite a popular limestone for exterior wall cladding projects, where its fine grain and consistent light beige color makes it an ideal limestone for such application, much to the taste and preference of architects and designers.
